Dyestuffs (Importation Regulation) Act 13. Mr. MANDER asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is now in a position to state the policy of the Government with regard to the Dyestuffs (Importation Regulation) Act, 1919? 32. Major McKENZIE WOOD asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the Government has decided to allow the Dyestuffs (Import Regulations) Act, 1920, to lapse next January? Mr. W. GRAHAM I hope to be able to make an announcement shortly. Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER Will the right hon. Gentleman give an undertaking that this House shall have a full opportunity of debating the issue before the Government decide on any course of action or inaction? Mr. GRAHAM This afternoon I cannot give a promise as to the precise form of discussion, but I should say, without giving a pledge, that there will be opportunities in the House before a final decision is taken. Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER I am very much obliged, but does the right hon. Gentleman not appreciate that the question of affording an opportunity which, he so rightly says, the House ought to have, rests with him? I trust he will provide it. Mr. GRAHAM Without giving any pledge at all, I can reply that there will in fact, in the course of the proceedings, be an opportunity for discussing this matter. Mr. CHARLES WILLIAMS Is the right hon. Gentleman in a position to assure the House that, whatever else he does, he will do nothing whatever to encourage British trade?
