National Travel Survey

asked the Secretary of State for Transport when he intends  to conduct the next national travel survey; and if he will make a statement.

I have authorised the next national travel survey to begin in the spring of 1978. The survey will cover 15,000 households in Great Britain and will cost approximately £400,000 at 1977 prices.
