Pensionable Age 44. Mr. Gwilym Roberts asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations he has received about the pensionable age of men being 65 years; and if he has plans to reduce this pensionable age. Mr. Prentice I have received representations from time to time from organisations, from hon. Members, and from individual members of the public. The majority have been in favour of a reduction in men's pensionable age. This would be very costly and my right hon. Friend has no plans to make such a reduction.
