Entertainment 14. Mr. Tony Banks To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what is his estimate for the amount to be spent by his Department on entertainment in 1991–92. Mr. Archie Hamilton It is estimated that around £3·6 million will be spent in the financial year to the end of March 1992. This figure includes expenditure incurred by the Ministry of Defence itself, by formations and establishments of the armed forces at home and abroad, and by individual officers occupying command and international appointments for which entertainment allowances are payable.
