To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether the leadership of the new Commonwealth of Independent States has communicated with NATO Defence Ministers regarding decisions taken at its planning meeting on new collective independent conventional and nuclear defence arrangements in Minsk at the end of December 1991.

No formal notification of the outcome of the meeting was sent to NATO Defence  Ministers. The outcome was, however, widely reported in the media, and the Government have followed developments closely.
