Oecd Mr. D. E. Thomas asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the average annual growth in real domestic product per head of population, of each of the member States of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, during the periods 1948 to 1958, 1958 to 1973 and at the latest date for which figures are available, respectively. Dr. Gilbert Figures are not available on an internationally comparable basis for periods before 1950, nor, at present, for later than 1972. The following table shows the average annual percentage rate of growth in gross domestic product at constant purchasers' values per head of population, as defined by the OECD, for the periods 1950 to 1958 and 1958 to 1972.
