Antenatal Screening

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he intends to issue guidance on antenatal screening for neural tube defects; and he will make a statement.

A working grou the chairmanship of Sir Douglas Black was set up "to advise on what guidance might be given to health authorities on the introduction into the routine ante-natal care of a service to detect neural tube defects".I hope it will be possible for it to report in the spring.
