To ask the President of the Board of Trade how many deep water quays on the River Wear are currently leased to (a) NESL/British Shipbuilders and (b) Tyne and Wear Development corporation; what is the present state of repair of each quay; what is the remaining term of each lease; and if she will make a statement.
