asked the Secretary of State for Social Services which firms hold contracts to supply food to the West Midlands regional health authority.

West Midlands regional health authority does not have any formal contracts for food items, but has arranged many purchasing agreements covering a comprehensive range of foodstuffs and related items. Individual hospital locations call off their own specific needs as required from companies with whom such arrangements have been made.
