Mr. Brotherton
asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether  he is now in a position to state whether the Trades Union Congress will be given a grant next year for education and training purposes.

No decision has yet been taken. A bid recently received from the Trades Union Congress is now under review by my Department and the Department of Employment.
