Suffragist Prisoners

Mr. M'CURDY
asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether Mrs. Pankhurst is doing the hunger strike; if so, whether she is being forcibly fed; what prison she has been sent to; and if she is likely to remain in that prison?

Mr. McKENNA
Mrs. Pankhurst is refusing food, but she is not being fed forcibly. She is in Holloway Prison. The question of removing her to a convict prison has for the present been deferred.
