Mr. MURRAY MACDONALD asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what were the cash balances at the credit of Votes of Parliament in the books of the Paymaster-General on the 31st of March in each year from 1904 to 1913, inclusive, under the heads of Consolidated Fund Services, Civil Services, Army, Navy, Treasury Chest, and Civil Contingencies; and what was the total amount standing at the close of business on the 31st of March on the Paymaster-General's account at the Banks of England and Ireland in the same year?
