Revaluation 21. Mr. Eadie asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take steps to delay proposed revaluation of properties in Scotland. Mr. Gordon Campbell No, Sir. Mr. Eadie The right hon. Gentleman must be aware that there is in Scotland at the present time confusion and anxiety about the future prospects with revaluation. Since he and his Government have declared that they will be altering certain financial structures, does he not think it appropriate to listen to some of their very strong authoritative voices, and delay the issue of revaluation? Mr. Campbell No, Sir, this is a decision which has to be taken by the Government. Revaluation brings up to date a fair distribution of the rates between ratepayers in Scotland. The more up to date it is, the more likely it is to be fair between different ratepayers.
