Public Thanksgiving

The Speaker took the chair precisely at half-past eight o'clock; and at nine, the clerk proceeded to call over the House, by counties, in alphabetical order. A great number of members were present, attired, either in court dresses, or in military or naval uniforms. As soon as the members were called over, the House proceeded to St. Paul's church, to attend the solemnity of the Public Thanksgiving.
