Royal Navy (Invaliding Diseases)

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the nature of the diseases from which men were invalided from the Navy during 1925 and the numbers invalided from the different diseases, respectively?

The following table shows the diseases from which 1,571 officers and men were invalided from the Royal Navy and Royal Marines during the year 1925 with the numbers invalided from the various diseases.

In addition to the above, three Maltese ratings were invalided with disease of the eye, disease of the stomach and epilepsy respectively, and 10 native ratings with insanity, pulmonary tuberculosis (2), malaria, sequela of gonorrhœa, epilepsy, a disease of the respiratory system, disease of the liver and beri-beri respectively.
