Government Department (Isle Of Man)

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the number of men and women employed by the Treasury in the Isle of Man.

asked the President of the Board of Trade the number of men and women employed in the Isle of Man by the Board of Trade.

The only members of the staff of the Board of Trade employed in the Isle of Man are 11 men in the Coastguard Service.

Suicide, Scotland

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the number of persons in Scotland who have been found by coroners' Verdicts to have committed suicide for the 12 months ended to the last convenient date, giving the numbers of men and women separately.

Coroners' inquests are not held in Scotland. During the year 1928 the number of deaths in Scotland ascribed to suicide was 473, of which 341 were males and 132 females.
