I am not aware that any official tests of this preparation have been made. As regards the last part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given on the subject to the hon. Member for East Wolverhampton (Mr. Mander) on 11th March last.

No imports of wheat meal and flour were registered during the five months ended 31st May, 1932, as consigned from the Soviet Union.

Wool (Imports)

asked the President of the Board of Trade the quantity and value of the cheapest grade of greasy wool imported from Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, respectively, for 1930 and 1931?

I regret that the desired particulars are not available, as the imports of greasy sheep's and lambs' wool into this country are recorded according to whether described as merino, crossbred or other kinds and not according to grades.

I am not aware of any general dissatisfaction in regard to this matter, which is of course one for the decision of the companies concerned, and I do not think that any useful purpose would be served by the appointment of a committee of inquiry.
