import of German bacon into this country during the period of nine months January to September, 1933, as compared with the import over the same period in 1932; and whether the increased import of bacon from Germany is due to the fact that in the last nine months Germany has imported large numbers of live pigs from Denmark for manufacturing into bacon?
During the first nine months of 1933 the imports of bacon into the United Kingdom registered as eon-sighed from Germany amounted to 1,043 cwts. as compared with 1 cwt. during the corresponding period of 1932. As regards the second part of the question, according to the official German trade returns, the number of live pigs, other than sucking pigs, imported into Germany from Denmark during the first nine months of 1933 was 83, as compared with 1,015 during the corresponding period of 1932.

For the years 1921–1931 the information desired is available in Volume IV of the issues of the "Annual Statement of the Trade of the United Kingdom" for 1925, 1930 and 1931, which contain the particulars for these years and for each of the four previous years. The volume for 1932 has not yet been published, and the only data relating to this year that are readily available are those contained in the monthly "Accounts relating to Trade and Navigation of the United Kingdom". The issue of these accounts for December, 1932,STATEMENT showing war material covered by export licences issued for China and Japan during July, August, September and October, 1933.

War Materials (Exports To China And Japan)
asked the President of the Board of Trade, if he will publish a statement giving particulars of the arms and munitions and naval and military stores, not including sporting arms and munitions, in respect of which he has issued licences to export to China and Japan in July, August, September, and October, 1933?
The following statement gives the desired information.under the Import Duties Act and the Ottawa Agreements, the imports dutiable under other enactments, and the imports which are free of duty?
