Proposed Eastern Mutual Guarantee Pact
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he has any statement to make about the Eastern European Pact of Mutual Guarantee?
I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given yesterday to the hon. Member for East Wolverhampton (Mr. Mander).
Aeroplanes (Electric Circuits, Safety Switches)
asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air if any safety switch has yet been invented for automatically cutting out the electric circuits in aeroplane engines in the event of violent impact, thus minimising the danger of fire; and whether any such device has yet proved satisfactory?
Three designs of such switches have been investigated and tested. Each fulfils the functions for which it was designed, and approval has been given for their use in civil aircraft.
Trade And Commerce (Japanand Ceylon)
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the values of the import and export trade of Japan with Ceylon during the nine months ended 30th September, 1933, and the corresponding period of 1934; and the corresponding trade between the United Kingdom and Ceylon for the same period?
