asked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations when it is intended to bring into force the agreement of 4th March, 1958, concerning appeals from the Supreme Court of the Federation of Malaya to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, Command Paper No. 383.

In pursuance of the Agreement, the necessary legislation has recently been passed in Malaya and an Order in Council has been made in the United Kingdom. My noble Friend is now in consultation with the Government of Malaya for the purpose of fixing a mutually convenient date in the near future to bring the Agreement into force.
