Nursing Staff Recruitment

asked Her Majesty's Government:What steps they are taking to deal with the shortage of nursing staffs in the London hospitals.

The recruitment of nursing staff is the responsibility of the individual health authorities. However, the department does provide material for the use of authorities in their local back to nursing campaigns.

North East Thames Rha: Management Reorganisation

asked Her Majesty's Government:

  • (i) What is the name of the management consultants advising the North East Thames Health Authority on the reorganisation of the health services in their region;
  • (ii) what was their previous experience of advising on health service organisation and where it was gained;
  • (iii) what fee was paid to the consultants for their services;
  • (iv) what will be the estimated savings resulting from the implementation of their proposals.
