asked Her Majesty's Government:When they expect to complete their response to the report of the House of Lords Select Committee on Chinook ZD576. (HL paper 25). [HL3558]

We expect to complete our response to the House of Lords Chinook Select Committee report before the normal six-month period allowed for such responses.

Hunting With Dogs

asked Her Majesty's Government:Whether they will ensure that it remains lawful to hunt rats and mink with dogs; and [HL3501]Whether they consider that local opinion, perhaps on a county basis, would provide a suitable way for deciding the future of hunting. [HL3502]

Following his Statement on 21 March, my right honourable friend the Minister of State for Rural Affairs will consider all constructive ideas on the practical issues towards resolving the matter of hunting with dogs.
