asked Her Majesty's Government:Whether it is the policy of the Blood Transfusion Service to refuse to accept blood transfusions from persons of either sex who have ever engaged in anal sex; and if so, when this policy was introduced; and what are their stated reasons for adopting it. [HL447]

The National Blood Service has no specific exclusion criteria relating to anal sex.
