[holding answer 23 November 2006]: In response to Question 51 of the Quadripartite Committee's 'First Joint Report of Session 2005-2006', the Government said that the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office will engage with the Sentencing Guidelines Council to see how best it can influence the debate on appropriate sentencing guidelines for breaches of export control. The Department, along with other interested Departments, will wish to contribute to that debate.
