Pathways to Work: Interviews

Volume 463: debated on Monday 17 September 2007

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what proportion of work-focused interviews in the Pathways to Work programme have been given by (a) private sector providers and (b) voluntary sector providers since the programme's inception. (151483)

Jobcentre Plus currently delivers Pathways to work in 40 per cent. of the country. Private, voluntary and public sector providers have been invited to bid for contracts in the remaining 60 per cent. of the country, but provision in these areas has not yet commenced. Therefore, since Pathways to Work pilots began in 2003, Jobcentre Plus has delivered all work focused interviews.
